Andreas Höfner to lead operations at GARBE Capital & Strategy as Managing Director

Hamburg/Frankfurt, 5 March 2025 – GARBE, one of the leading private real estate companies in Germany and Europe, has appointed Andreas Höfner as Managing Director of GARBE Capital & Strategy GmbH. He joins the leadership team of the newly established competence centre, which serves as GARBE’s in-house strategic advisory unit. The unit supports the company’s operational business segments in expanding their activities across German and international real estate markets. Alongside Höfner, Christopher Garbe and Thomas Kallenbrunnen also serve as Managing Directors.

In his new role, Andreas Höfner will oversee day-to-day operations and lead the team responsible for complex transactions. GARBE Capital & Strategy emerged from GARBE Institutional Capital, which has long served as a key link between capital markets and the real estate sector.

The unit is a key part of GARBE’s new “Sheds, Beds & Infrastructure” strategy, which aligns the company’s operations across three distinct, independently managed business units: Industrial, Reside, and Infrastructure. Working closely with the operational business departments, GARBE Capital & Strategy supports them in expanding their activities, particularly by developing tailored solutions for German and international capital partners. A key focus is on managing complex transactions, particularly in special situations and M&A projects, ensuring efficient, cross-sectoral processes and successful execution. The competence centre includes GARBE Capital & Strategy Deutschland, focused on the DACH region, and its Singapore office, which opened in September 2024.

Andreas Höfner has been with GARBE since August 2021, most recently serving as Managing Director of GARBE Institutional Capital Deutschland GmbH. The investment specialist has over 15 years of experience in the real estate and financial sectors. In recent years, he has played a leading role in GARBE Institutional Capital’s acquisition of GRR and the structuring of joint ventures with international capital partners. Prior to joining GARBE, he led real assets consulting at Helaba Invest and previously worked at PwC in the Advisory/Deals division.
